A Garmisch-Partenkirchen 1936 Winter Olympic Game gold first place winner's medal, gold plated silver, .990 halamark on the edge, designed by Richard Klein, struck by Deschler, Muenchen, Victory holding a laurel leaf, riding in a triga to left, bobsled, ski, ice hockey stick and skate below, reverse with large Olympic rings in centre and legend IV OLYMPISCHE WINTERSPIELE 1936, 10cm. diameter (largest size Olympic winner's medal ever awarded), and one of only 36 awarded at the Games, hence very rare, in red leatherette case with Olympic Rings on the lid, scuffed, original recipient unknown
