Grace, Wilfred Rhodes and George Hirst to take 2,500 wickets and pass 20,000 runs Titmus made a record 642 appearances for Middlesex and took 2,361 wickets, another county record. He also played in 53 Test Matches for England between 1955 and 1975. Outside of cricket, Titmus was also a fine footballer who was contracted professionally to Watford and had earlier played for Chelsea juniors.
