He was the only Ilford defender to retain his place for the 1930 Final against Bournemouth Gasworks Athletic. Ilford won 5-1 at Upton Park, watched by 21,800. He played in both matches of the 1936 Final for Ilford, which Casuals won 2-0 at Upton Park (27,000) after a 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park (25,064). Provenance: By family descent.
