A 1904 F.A. Cup winner's medal awarded to Tommy Hynds of Manchester City FC, in 15ct. gold, the obverse inscribed 1904, the reverse inscribed THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION, MANCHESTER CITY, WINNERS, T. HINDS [sic], in a fitted case by Whittle of Blackburn In 1903-04 Manchester City won the F.A. Cup and claimed the first major honour in their history. They beat Bolton Wanderers 1-0 at the Crystal Palace with the winning goal scored by Billy Meredith in the 23rd minute, a strike disputed as offside by Bolton.
