The defensive midfielder Pavel Pardo played a remarkable 148 games for Mexico. His international career began at the 1996 US Cup and the last of his caps was won in 2009. Having played in Mexican League football all his career, his performances for Mexico at the 2006 World Cup in Germany led to a move to Vfb Stuttgart. Aged 36 Pardo is still playing professionally, presently with Chicago Fire in the MLS.
