Earnie Stewart: a blue & white starred USA No.8 international jersey worn in the friendly match played at Wembley Stadium 7th September 1994, short-sleeved by Adidas This jersey was gained as a swap by Ian Wright from Earnie Stewart. Wright came on as a substitute for Teddy Sheringham in the 80th minute, while Stewart started the match but was subbed in the 82nd minute. England won the match 2-0. Earnie Stewart was the son of USAF airman and a Dutch mother. He grew up in The Netherlands and had lengthy spells at VVV-Venlo, Willem II and NAC Breds between 1988 and 2003. He then spent two years at D C United in the USA before returning to Venlo for his final season in 2004-05. At international level he played 101 times for the USA, the 8th to have achieved this feat, and scored 17 goals. This included playing in all four of the USA's matches at the 1994 World Cup.
