Wim Jonk: an orange Netherlands No.14 international substitute's jersey from the World Cup qualification match v England played in Rotterdam 13th October 1993, short-sleeved by Lotto, white collar & cuffs with blue and red trim This jersey was gained as a swap by Ian Wright who came off the bench to replace Paul Merson in the 68th minute. The 2-0 defeat virtually sealed England's World Cup and Graham Taylor's managerial fate, although The Netherlands had to avoid defeat in their final match v Poland - which they did. Wim Jonk was an unused Dutch substitute in the match. The midfielder did win 49 international caps and scored 11 goals. In a highly successful career Jonk won UEFA Cup winner's medals at both Ajax and Inter. He ended his career in England joining Sheffield Wednesday from PSV. At Hillsborough he made 70 League appearances before injuries forced him to retire at the beginning of season 2000-01.
