The game at Wembley took place on 18th November 1992, with the reverse fixture in Izmir played on 31st March 1993. In the Wembley game the No.5 was worn by Ogun Temizkanoglu of Trabzonspor. In Izmir, Tugay Kerimoglu of Galatasaray, and later of Blackburn Rovers, wore the No.5.
