There are three possibilities for this match, with seemingly identical short-sleeved shirts being worn on each occasion v England. Bratseth wore the No.4 shirt in all three games, and Ian Wright played for England in all three games. So the match was either one of the World Cup qualifiers played at Wembley 14th October 1992 and Oslo 2nd June 1993, or alternatively the jersey was worn in the friendly match played at Wembley 22nd May 1994. Rune Bratseth was a sweeper who played the majority of his career at Werder Bremen where he made 230 League appearances and scored 12 goals between 1987 and 1994. During this time he helped the club to two Bundesliga titles, two German Cups and, in a career highlight, he also played in the victorious 1991-92 European Cup Winners' Cup team. Nicknamed 'The Elk', Bratseth won a total of 60 Norwegian caps between 1986 and 1994 and captained the national team at the 1994 World Cup. In 2003 he was bestowed with the honour of Norway's 'Golden Player' of the past 50 years by the Norwegian F.A.
