The trophy for the 2007 Racing Post Steeple Chase, in the form of a large black glass dish mounted on a hallmarked silver base, W I Broadway & Co., Birmingham, the rim inscribed THE RACING POST STEEPLE CHASE, KEMPTON PARK, 24th FEBRUARY 2007, diameter 35cm., 13 3/4in. The 2007 Racing Post Chase at Kempton Park was won by Mercy Rimell's home bred chaser Simon, who was trained by John Spearing and ridden by Andrew Thornton. The gelding was winning back-to-back Class 1 events having previously won the Sky Bet Chase (formerly the Great Yorkshire Chase). The trophy for this race is being offered as the previous lot.
