A boxing silk commemorating the African-American boxer Frank Craig 'The Harlem Coffee Cooler' who moved to London and became the Middleweight Champion of Great Britain 24th November 1898 beating George Chrisp, flags and national emblems to each corner Before moving to London Frank Craig won the Colored Middleweight Championship of the World title. Having become British champion, Craig had a crack at the World Middleweight Championship title in 1899, but lost to Tommy Ryan by a k.o. Craig remained in London for the rest of his life and over time the Harlemite developed a pronounced cockney accent.
