A photograph of Popham Down winning the Scottish Grand National at Bogside in 1964, 10 by 14in., mounted with printed legend, framed & glazed; sold together with seven photographs of Birmingham Racecourse in the 19th century, 9 by 12in., reprints from the original glass plates (8) not illustrated Popham Down was the horse that when running loose cut stopped and cut across the fence causing the famous pile up in Foinavon's Grand National.
