Alfred Wheeler (1851-1932) ORMONDE WITH FRED ARCHER UP IN THE COLOURS OF THE DUKE OF WESTMINSTER signed & titled, oil on board, 40.5 by 51cm., 16 by 20in., framed Ormonde was one of the greatest racehorses of the 19th century, was never defeated and won the Triple Crown in 1886. Ormonde provided jockey Fred Archer with the last of his major winners shortly before his tragic death.
