A 1912 Stockholm Olympic Games gold medal winner's diploma awarded to a Great Britain footballer, designed by Prof. Olle Hjortzberg with the Goddess Pallas Athene holding a staff with one hand and lifting a symbol of victory with the other, the Olympic stadium can be seen beyond, colour lithograph with areas of embossed gilding, 47.5 by 65cm., 18 3/4 by 25 1/2in., mounted For the second successive Olympic Games Great Britain won the gold medal in the football competition, beating Hungary 7-0, Finland 4-0 and in the final Denmark 4-2. It is not known who received this gold medal diploma but for the record the British squad was: Arthur Berry, Ronald Brebner, Thomas Burn, Joseph Dines, Ted Hanney, Gordon Hoare, Arthur Knight, Henry Littlewort, Douglas McWhirter, Ivan Sharpe, Harold Stamper, Harold Walden, Vivian Woodward & Gordon Wright.
