Continental School (20th century) BADEN-BADEN LAWN TENNIS CLUB IN THE 1920s watercolour, 26 by 16cm., 10 by 6 1/2in., reframed, the backboard bearing several unknown autographs Although lawn tennis is believed to have been played there by the English in 1880, the club was established in 1881, and often frequented by Baron von Fichard, who was a founding member and Count Marcel von Zeppelin. It became a very popular venue for Europe's sporting aristocracy.
