A collection of 41 Arsenal programmes for friendlies between seasons 1952-3 and 1969-70, including some interesting single sheets and unusual fixtures, also some overseas issues including Combined Services XI B.L.A. in Dusseldorf 29.9.45 and PSV & Juventus in 58-59 The Juventus programme in this lot come with an original 1959 accompanying letter from the Italian football agent Gigi Peronace to the English football referee Arthur Ellis to whom he promised he would send a copy. Peronace states in his letter that the Juventus v Arsenal programme is 'the first ever to be made in Italy.' Please note that the Spurs v Arsenal 26.1.63 is only a facsimile of the ultra rare single-sheet issued as an emergency edition during the notoriously harsh winter of 1963.
