Scarce and full autographs of the tennis players Perry T. Jones, William Ewing 'Slew' Hester and David Lester Freed, the first two are Hall of Famers, and the third was a U.S. Davis Cup captain Perry Jones (1890-1970) was the czar of California tennis for 30 years, president of the Southern California Tennis Association, director of the Pacific Southwest tennis tournament and U.S. Davis Cup captain (1958-59). He entered the Hall of Fame in 1970. Slew Hester (1912-1993) was the USTA president (1977-78) who led the U.S. Open move from Forest Hills to Flushing Meadows where a 20,000 seat stadium was built from scratch in less than a year. He was a USTA officer (1060-77) and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1981. David Freed of Salt Lake City, Utah, U.S., was the U.S. Davis Cup captain (l960 and 1961) where he won 8 of 10 team matches. He was a USLTA board member for over 3 decades and served as secretary of the Intermountain section of the USLTA for over 30 years. not illustrated
