A collection of memorabilia relating to the 1957 Grand National winner Sundew, including a preserved hoof mounted in hallmarked silver; Sundew's blanket bearing the initials GAK (Mrs Geoffrey Kohn); a well presented 1957 Grand National scrap book containing original photographs, press cuttings, a celebration dinner menu extensively signed by racing celebrities in attendance, a manuscript of the Peter O'Sullevan radio commentary, and other items; the lot also including other items relating to Mrs Kohn's racehorse ownership including her flat race silks carried to victory by the likes of Mytholm in The Queen Alexandra Stakes at Royal Ascot in 1947, and the multiple winner First Night and two framed photos of the previously named horses Sundew provided Fred Winter with his first Grand National winner in 1957 and an association with the race that saw him ride and train two winners in the race, a unique achievement. Sundew was trained at Bodley House in Henley in Arden by Frank Hudson for Mrs Geoffrey Kohn of Warwick.
