A fine collection of 47 Vanity Fair prints of cricketers, including 40 from the list of 47 caricatured cricketers compiled by John Arlott for The Cricketer magazine, published 22nd August 1953 AND INCLUDING THE VERY RARE E.W. DILLON ISSUE, a further 3 caricatures from J.W. Goldman's additional list of 22 published in The Cricketer 5th September 1953 including the rare J.R. Mason as a supplement to ''The World'', plus a caricature for an earlier appearance of General Frederick Marshall (Goldman No.15, ''Fred'' 24.12.1896) in Vanity Fair, when he appeared as ''Handsome Fred'' 16.3.1878, two caricatures of the Vanity Fair artists ''Ape'' (Carlo Pellegrini) and ''Spy'' (Sir Leslie Ward), and finally a later print being published for the Men of the Day ''Spy'' Series of Mayfair Cartoons, the subject being Stanley Christopherson (''Lords'') President of Lords 1939 to 1945, all unframed and in sleeves within two folio albums, and generally speaking in good condition overall A full list of the 47 caricatures included in the lot follows: W.G.
