WHITTAKER, ARSENAL F.C., FOR EXCELLENT SERVICES RENDERED, FROM AUSTRIAN FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION, 7th DECEMBER 1932, 25.5cm., 10in. diameter The 7th December is the date of the Austria's international match v England that was played at Stamford Bridge, the visitors losing 4-3 in an exciting game. It is presumed therefore that Tom Whittaker had been assisting with the coaching of the Austrian team in England prior to the game.
