Teddy Jones's 1933 England v Wales international baseball cap, the black velvet cap by A J Bailey of Liverpool, embroidered red English rose, the peak inscribe in gold wire 19 E.B.A. 33; sold together with a scanned photograph of an English team at Cardiff Arms Park featuring Jones; and a print biography (3) Edward Jones, known as ''Teddy'', was born in Liverpool 21st May 1908. He played baseball ten times for England between 1929 and 1949 and won four English Baseball Association Challenge Cup winner's medals between 1928 and 1933. In 1935 his match total of 30 runs beat the previous record posted by Charlie Moore in 1914 and remained a record for 47 years before finally being beaten by Steve Henney in 1982. The left-hander Jones was the third Englishman to hit over 100 international runs. The present cap was awarded to Jones for the Welsh match of 1933 played at Cardiff Arms Park.
