A very rare programme for the Wales v England international match played at Wrexham 28th March 1898, folded card by printed by Robert Jones's 'Minerva', Hope Street Chambers, Wrexham, marked 'official programme' and priced one penny, team-line ups to centre-pages This was England's 63rd international fixture. It was played at the Racecourse Ground, Wrexham, on 28th March 1898 before 4,000 spectators. England won the game 3-0. The scoring was opened by Corinthians's Gilbert Oswald Smith in the 9th minute, the others came late on both courtesy of Aston Villa's Fred Wheldon in the 75th and 88th minutes.
