£200 - £300
Damon Hill 1994 Williams-Renault FW16 French GP-used wheel & tyre, the O.Z Racing titanium five-spoke front wheel fitted with a Goodyear Eagle F1 slick tyre, the wheel also bearing a Williams 94 logo and hologram, the tyre stamped 00-E0006 and marked 'set 24' in yellow chalk, complete with a clear-glass top for use as a coffee table, diameter 64cm., 25in., height 30 cm., 12in., sold with a small framed colour photograph of such a wheel in situ, signed and dated '94 by Damon Hill, plus a CoA (3) This race at Magny Cours marked a turning point in Damon Hill's career. Nigel Mansell had arrived to replace the late Ayrton Senna and it soon became apparent that he agreed with all Hill's feedback on the FW16. Also he proved to be no faster, so Hill effectively took over as team leader and only lost the World Championship because of Michael Schumacher's dubious tactics in the last race of the season.
