Jackson of RAC Bovington, 12 with original boxes, comprising 12 Army Football Association medals, most notably a silver medal for joint-winners of the 1948 Army Cup final playing for RAC Bovington; the other medals comprising a 1938-39 Junior Cup, 1942 Services trial medal, 1948 Southern Command Salisbury, 1949 Dorset County F.A. Amateur Cup final runners-up, 1951 RAC Challenge Cup winners, 1951 Garrison Cup, 1951 Intersqn Championship winners, two 1954 medals for the Garrison Cup, and three further medals uninscribed; together with six medals from the Southport League, 1937 Fleetwood Hesketh (Southport), 1946 Fleetwood Hesketh Cup winners, 1946 Liverpool County F.A. Junior Cup in 9ct. gold, and three further medals for the Southport League; sold together with period b&w photographs of the 1948 Army Cup final, and some press clippings Tragically, during the 1948 Army Cup final played at the Command Central Ground in Aldershot, two players were killed by lightning and many other players and spectators were injured.
