The watch is very beautiful & will be I assure you one of my most treasured possessions. Our practice is now over, & we start serious cricket tomorrow. Hope we start off well & collect a victory. A good start means so much when we have so many young players, on their first overseas tour. All the team are fit & well including the Brigadier [M.A. Green], who really is not quite sure which day or month it is, this being his first venture as [tour] manager. Needless to say, I am looking forward with great interest to my visit to Rhodesia, be sure to arrange accommodation for yourself during our stay. I want to [?] for one hour, the details of which I will tell you when I see you. Again I thank you for the watch, which has been admired by so many of my friends. Kindest Regards, Yours Sincerely, Leonard.; sold together with two postcards of the ''Durban Castle'' Union-Castle line vessel, each signed by 15 members of the MCC touring party (lacking Tremlett & Griffith, but including the manager M.A. Green) Tiny Rowland had moved to Rhodesia in 1948 where he bought a tobacco farm at Eiffel Flats in Mashonaland West Province.
