The two English clubs played each other twice, the first match ending in a 2-2 draw, the second in a 4-0 win by Everton. Everton were undefeated on the tour, and seemingly in their honour a Chilean football club based in Vina del Mar changed its name to Corporacion Deportiva Everton as a result of the tour. The two teams have kept a close association and a delegation from Chile recently attended a dinner at Goodison Park in this centenary year. These photographs are a remarkable discovery and an invaluable and rare documentary of this historic football tour.
