Hatton of Casuals, inscribed THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION AMATEUR CUP, RUNNERS UP, in original Vaughton's fitted case inscribed THE AMATEUR CUP, 1894-5; sold with a photocopied match report (2) Casuals were defeated 2-1 by Old Carthusians in the first ever F.A. Amateur Cup final played at Richmond before 3,500 spectators on 7th April 1894. Although on the losing side, contemporary reports pick out the full back Hatton as having an outstanding game.
