An original spool of 16mm film featuring the slalom at the women's combined alpine skiing event in the 1936 Olympic Games at Garmisch-Partenkirchen, contained in a small round red printed tin, a German 'Ozaphan' b&w film titled KLAUS WAGREMANN - OLYMPISCHE WINTERSPIEL 1936 - CHRISTL CRANZ'; sold together with a DVD copy of the film (2) The duration of this film is 1 minute 53 seconds. After opening captions we see highlights of the slalom runs of the three medallists in the women's combined event. The downhill had been staged the previous day. Germany's Christl Cranz won the gold. Cranz was the dominant skier of the 1930s winning 12 World Championship titles between 1934 and 1939. The silver and bronze medals were won by Kathe Grasegger of Germany and Laila Schou-Nilsen of Norway. not illustrated
