£400 - £600
1998 FIA British GP marshall's tabard signed by two World Champions, bearing the marker pen signatures of Mika Hakkinen and Michael Schumacher, along with those of Jean Alesi and David Coulthard, the colour-coded blue tabard marked Course Radio Marshall GB0461, Silverstone, 1998 RAC British Grand Prix, with all FIA Formula 1 World Championship insignia and circuits, framed and glazed, 84 by 61cm., 33 by 24in. These drivers ran first to fourth in the early stages, before the onset of heavy rain when Alesi and Coulthard retired. Schumacher then beat Hakkinen to score a victory unique in the annals of motor racing, the winner having crossed the finish line in the pit lane for a stop-go penalty, rather than taking the chequered flag in the normal way.
