The autographs of the original 30-man England 1998 World Cup squad, additionally signed by the coaching team Glenn Hoddle, John Gorman, Ray Clemence & Glenn Roeder, 34 signatures in all, neatly signed in pen above pre-printed names, mounted framed & glazed, 50 by 42.5cm., 19 3/4 by 16 3/4in. Head coach Glenn Hoddle originally chose a squad of 30 players to play in warm-up matches against Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Belgium and to attend the training camp in Spain in May 1998. Hoddle lost Jamie Redknapp and Ian Wright through injury then eliminated six players for his final 22-man World Cup. The most notable absentee was Paul Gascoigne, while the other players were Ian Walker, Phil Neville, Andy Hinchcliffe, Nicky Butt & Dion Dublin.
