The collection comprises 34 shirts each representing the PFA Footballer of the Year from the prestigious award's inception in 1974 to the most recent presentation in 2007. Only four sets of PFA Centenary Collection shirts have been made, or will ever be made. The Professional Footballers' Association own the first set. The second set was sold at an auction held at the PFA Centenary banquet in Manchester, with the proceeds contributing towards the PFA's charitable causes. Shirts from the third set were presented by the PFA to the respective Footballer of the Year. The fourth and remaining set is being offered for public auction here. IMPORTANT NOTICE TO BIDDERS The collection of 34 shirts are being offered as a collection as lot 351 with an auctioneer's estimate of ?60,000-80,000. In circumstances where the collection should fail to reach its reserve price, the lot will be withdrawn. Each of the 34 shirts will then be offered for auction individually as lots 352 to 385. Correspondingly, should the entire collection be sold as lot 351, then the proceeding lots 352 to 385 will be withdrawn from the auction.
