A group of 13 medals won by Dan Nurse of Wolverhampton Wanderers between 1894-95 and 1900-01, nine in gold, four in silver, mostly issued by the Birmingham & District Football League for Championships, Senior Cups and services rendered, also issues by Walsall & District F.A. and the Staffordshire F.A., all engraved with details appendix Dan and Louis Nurse (West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers) Lots 23 to 32 Dan Nurse is amongst a group of footballers who has played for both Black Country rival clubs West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers. He was captain of the West Brom team who won the Second Division Championship in season 1901-02. Dan Nurse later became a Director of West Bromwich Albion as was the case with his brother Louis Nurse, with the latter occupying the office as Chairman between 1937 and 1947.
