A blue England home international cap season 1963-64, inscribed IRELAND, WALES, SCOTLAND, 1964 From season 1963-64 the Football Association adopted a practice of awarding one single cap to cover the home international championship. Maurice Norman played in all three matches, hence the full inscription on the cap. They were his 11th,13th &14th appearances for England. The Wales match was played in Cardiff on 12th October with England winning 4-0. There followed an 8-3 rout of Ireland at Wembley on 20th November, before the Scots beat England 1-0 at Hampden Park on 11th April.
