An unusual and rare original 16mm film spool of full colour, soundtrack film showing the 1981 Lawn Tennis Championships at Wimbledon, by Trans World International, and presented with the compliments of Black and White Scotch Whisky (House of Buchanan), with excellent colour and sound quality and a running time of 58 mins., the entire film hosted by the late Formula 1 driver James Hunt and the late Dan Maskell, the Wimbledon commentating legend, and produced in a compelling documentary style, highlights of the tournament, sympathetic soundtrack, close-ups, slow-motion, introductions to Fed Perry and Enrique Morea, and action involving countless top stars including McEnroe, Mandikova, Austin, Navratilova, Evert-Lloyd, Connors, Amritaj, Gerulaitis, Shriver, Barker, Wade, Hobbs, John Lloyd, Clerc, Rinaldi (aged 14), the first woman umpire on Centre Court, Gullikson, Fred Hoyles, Frawley, the Duches of Kent, Mrs Thatcher, the Duke & Duchess of Gloucester and Lady Diana (3 1/2 weeks before the Royal Wedding) The canned spool of film is being offered with a DVD copy, transferred from the original footage which has an informative and decorative sleeve as prepared by the vendor. not illustrated
