A group of eight irons used by the legendary Jack Nicklaus in the 1967 Open Championship at Hoylake, eight Slazenger Jack Nicklaus irons numbered 4 to 9 inclusive plus a pitching wedge and a sand wedge, each stamped at the toe-end of the back of the blade J.N.67., each with Jack Nicklaus and True Temper decals in varying states of preservation, the 5 iron with a replacement shaft In the 1967 Open Championship at Hoylake, Jack Nicklaus finished second two strokes behind the Argentinian winner Roberto de Vicenzo. These clubs were won as a competition prize after the Open Championship, and were then subsequently acquired by the present vendor.
