Golfing and other sporting autographs, the first group signed in ink on an autograph album page including Aubrey Boomer (a member of the first 'Ryder Cup' and subsequent teams and the Open Champion of three different countries), Percy Alliss (four times Ryder Cup player) plus four other golfers, and another to the reverse; together with another autograph album page signed in ink together with a short golfing poem by Joe Kirkwood, the reverse with a cartoon by Fred May of and signed by Archie Compston; three further sheets signed by Walker Cup and other amateur golfers, the reverse of one sheet bearing the signature of Henry Longhurst; another page with a pasted cut-out pencil signature of the keen golfer the Duke of York (later King George VI); and three further pages bearing the signatures of the Olympic swimming champion Johnny Weissmuller, the 1930s featherweight world champion Freddie Miller and the Billiards champion Joe Davis (9 sheets) These autographs were collected by the British Ryder Cup golfer Bill Davies. not illustrated
