Four 1962 British Grand Prix commemorative silver napkin rings, hallmarked Boodle & Dunthorne 1961, each inscribed R.A.C. BRITISH GRAND PRIX, AINTREE 1962 and featuring an engraved Cooper-Climax racing car, unused in the maker's original boxes; together with two 'Doghouse Club' items: a Stavangerflint ceramic dish, 18cm., 7in. diameter, and a silk scarf, 71cm., 28in. square, both carrying the original Doghouse Club motif surrounded by 12 facsimile autographs of 1960s racing drivers, including Jack Brabham, Jim Clark, John Surtees, Graham Hill and Stirling Moss (6) The Doghouse Club was formed in the early 1960s to raise money for charity by several racing drivers' wives, including Betty Brabham and Bette Hill (Damon Hill's mother), who decided they had all had enough of being left alone at social functions while their husbands were forever talking 'shop' together.
