Three clubs formerly belonging to and used by Joyce Wethered, a brassie, a two iron and a steel shafted putter, two of the clubs stamped with her personal cleek mark; together with a signed letter of authenticity dated April 1982 from S. Adwick the professional at Tiverton Golf Club reading: This brassie, 2 iron and putter were presented to the 'Artisans' at Tiverton Golf Club by Lady Heathcoat-Amory (Joyce Wethered), to be won outright in open competition. By allowing the American company to endorse clubs with her signature, Joyce Wethered lost her amateur status. The clubs were eventually purchased by the current vendor who subsequently had tea with Lady Heatchcoat-Amory and vouched for the authenticity of the clubs. At this time the vendor asked her about the famous match with Bobby Jones in 1933 and ascertained that they did in fact play off the same tees.
