A superb oak billiards combination lifepool scoreboard, cue stand & storage compartments by Orme & Sons Ltd of Manchester circa 1910, stamped No.573, ORME & SONS LTD MANCHESTER, the upper front section with arched pediment and carved detail, flanked by two sets of five ivory detailed counter sections on lifepool sliders with gold leaf lettering incorporating further marquetry pull out sliders covering gold leaf painted round lifepool discs, the centre section with twin roller number scoreboard with hand painted numbers & ivory pointers, the lower section with a large opening cupboard with an elaborately carved front panel detail with fluted pilasters and original hinges and locks, the door opens to reveal two ball box pull out storage drawers containing two sets of snooker balls and two sets of billiard balls, finishing with large storage area fitted with a pair of shelves, the rear of this floor standing piece constructed with storage for a maximum of fifteen cues, the lot offered with a selection of cues, held in position with routed bottom sections and leather bound clip type upper sections, the platform base with moulded edge supporting three brass casters, height 170cm., 67in., width 68.5cm., 27in.
