A profusely autographed copy of P.F. Warner's 1912 book England v Australia, the book including a pasted Plum Warner signature on the book's dedication page, and with many photographic plates signed by subjects, and sometimes including multiple examples within the book, signatures including Strudwick, Kinneir, Smith, Mead, Hearne, Hitch, Vine, Rhodes, Gunn, Warner, Trumble, Pawley, Hill, Trumper, Douglas, Ransford, Minnett, Kelleway, Hordern, Barnes, Armstrong, Foster, Bardsley, umpires Young & Crockett, Carter, Hobbs, Woolley and other signatures; sold together with a group of letters signed by cricketing personalities including Lord Hawke, Kelleway, Hobbs, Burton, Kelly (1930 Australian team manager), Barnes, Foster, Sharpe and others; the lot also including a qty. of press cuttings (a qty.) These autographs were collected by a Miss Joyce Goodall of Cherry Burton near Beverley, East Yorkshire. Many of the autographed letters from cricketers included in this lot relate directly to Miss Goodall's endeavours in having Warner's book signed, and with many autographs evidently collected during the Scarborough Festival.
