The fast bowler played in 61 Tests for Australia and took 228 wickets at an average of 23.03. Lindwall was also a useful lower order batsman. England won the 1954-55 series 3-1. Lindwall took 13 wickets in four tests and scored a fifty in the First match. Ray Lindwall presented his baggy green cap to Vic Wilson as a souvenir of the tour. Wilson was 12th man in all five tests. Raymond Lindwall died in 1996 aged 75.
