D. Foster's Patented Parlour Table Game: a rare & early table football game, patented in 1890, a long pine box, the interior of the hinged lid with a chromolithographic label, illustrations that three sports could be replicated with the contents, football, cricket & lawn tennis, and the slogan INTERESTING, ENJOYABLE, EXCITING, NO FAMILY SHOULD BE WITHOUT ONE, now only containing the football equipment, namely 10 poles each terminating with a carved, wooden football boot, allowing for a five-a-side match, two pairs of goalposts & cross bars, a ball & table-end netting, with professionally crafted replacement wooden pitch parameters & metal netting supports, and replacement green baize, length of box 116cm., 45 3/4in.
