A blue Northern Ireland international cap, season 1963-64, inscribed E, S, W, 1963-64 This cap was awarded to Arsenal's Bill McCullough for his appearances in the three home international matches of season 1963-64. This series began well with a 2-1 win over Scotland in Belfast but there followed a heavy 8-3 deafeat at Wembley. Irish fortunes were revived with a 3-2 win over the Welsh in Swansea. Bill ''Flint'' McCullough was born at Woodburn, 27th July 1935. He began his career at Portadown and became one of manager George Swindin's first signings at Arsenal in September 1958. The quick, hard-tackling full-back was renowned for his adventurous forays along the touchline. McCullough played a total of 268 games for Arsenal and scored 5 goals. He won a total of 10 caps for Northern Ireland between 1961 and 1966. He later had spells as manager for Cork Celtic, Republic of Ireland, Derry City & Northern Ireland.
