A gold medal commissioned by Lord Howard de Walden to commemorate the victory of Slip Anchor in the 1985 Derby Stakes, by Cartier in original fitted case, unhallmarked but positively acid tested as gold, the obverse struck with an anchor motif and inscribed DERBY 1985, SLIP ANCHOR, the reverse with a crest and the facsimile signature of Lord Howard de Walden, rope twist border, diameter 4cm., 1 1/2in., weight 1oz. 5dwt., 38.8gr.
