A set of 'gold', silver & bronze medals from the 1930 World Cup in Uruguay, each struck with a view of the Tower of Homage at the Centenary Stadium, Montevideo, the reverse inscribed A.U.DE.F. 1ER CAMPEONATO MUNDIAL DE FOOTBALL, MONTEVIDEO, 1930 (3) The gold plated medal is the rarest in the set and was reserved for VIP's and dignitaries. The silver medals were presented to participants, whilst the bronze medal was a commemorative issue sold to the general public.
