A .750 continental gold & enamel Anglo-Italian League Cup Winners' Cup winner's medal 1971-72, the obverse enamelled with an Italian flag and inscribed LEAGUE CUP WINNERS' CUP 1971UEFA, COUPE DES VAINQUEURS DE COUPE EUROPEENNE, the reverse struck with a footballing scene in raised relief, with later gold chain, in original fitted case Tottenham Hotspur defeated Torino 1-0 in the away leg through a Martin Chivers goal, and 2-0 at White Hart Lane with goals by Chivers and Gilzean to win the 1971 renewal of this short-lived competition, staged between seasons 1969-70 and 1976-77.
